Intended Use

Determination of antisalmonella antibodies in human Serum Qualitatively or Semi-Quantitavely.

Background

Enteric fever occurs due to infection by S.typhi, S.paratyphi Which stimulates the production of antibodies which can be detected in the patient serum from the second week of infection.theLevels of these antibodies indicates the degree of infection.increase in titre occurs at high degree of infection.as the Infection subside the titre declines and returns to normal levels .If the titre does decreases recurrent or Chronic infection may exist.
